Focus: Resilience

The strategic vision “Tangier 2050 – Circular Water, Resilient Metropolis” was developed  in cooperation between Morocco and Germany, with the support of GIZ Morocco. Adopted by the Tangier City Council on 4 May 2026, it serves as a roadmap to strengthen the metropolis’s resilience in the face of water stress, urban pressure, and climate vulnerabilities. This session constitutes the official launch with the aim of showcasing this territorial momentum and positioning Tangier as a pioneering city in urban resilience and sustainable development. The event also seeks to raise public awareness, strengthen the institutional and media visibility of the initiative, and highlight Moroccan-German cooperation.
