[Roundtable] Caring Territories, Partnerships for Integrated Policies

Convened by Mercociudades, in collaboration with UCLG, the Regional Government of Catalonia, the Andalusian Fund for International Solidarity (FAMSI), the Diputación of Sevilla, and the Global Alliance for Care (GAC).

This session examines the role of local and regional governments in building integral care systems that recognize care as a universal right and shared social responsibility. Drawing on experiences from Latin America and the Caribbean and beyond, the panel highlights the need for strategic alliances and feminist policies as the transformative foundation for structural change. Through peer exchange and structured dialogue, participants will identify replicable approaches and advance shared commitments toward care-centered, equitable and sustainable territorial development.
