This session highlights city-to-city pairing as a practical mechanism to close SDG implementation gaps in Asia Pacific and beyond. Connecting cities with complementary strengths and needs, the model supports joint problem diagnosis, peer-to-peer technical exchange and co-creation of action plans across integrated thematic areas including climate-responsive waste management, nature-based solutions and urban mobility. Bringing together city leaders, practitioners and development partners, the session positions decentralized cooperation as a powerful tool for translating global climate commitments into locally driven action.
