Cities around the world are increasingly looking to one another for solutions to shared challenges, yet the adoption of ideas from elsewhere often remains fragmented and informal. This session marks the official launch of the OECD Toolkit for Adopting Ideas from Other Cities, developed with support from Bloomberg Philanthropies. Drawing on evidence from 76 city governments across 43 countries, the session will present findings on how cities are approaching idea adoption today and introduce practical actions to help city officials identify, assess, adapt and implement ideas from other cities while taking account of local realities.
